Meet Our Director

Gillies Robertson is the Director of the Shasta-Cascade Innovation Hub, part of the CalOSBA’s network which is focused on supporting rural entrepreneurship and small business growth. Originally from Scotland, Gillies holds a Bachelor of Natural Environment & Wilderness Studies from the University of Tasmania, Australia. His career spans natural resource management, agricultural innovation, and business development, including years supporting producers and entrepreneurs through on-farm innovation, resource management and problem solving. Alongside his work, Gillies operates a small livestock farm raising sheep, hogs, and poultry. He’s a father, a lover of Scottish traditional music, and finds joy in open-fire cooking and the rhythms of rural life.
