Randy Lewis, owner of Veterans Construction and Design Inc., exemplifies leadership, service, and commitment to the veteran community. A proud U.S. veteran and dedicated entrepreneur, Randy has built his company on the principles of integrity, quality, and purpose—focusing his work on projects that directly benefit veterans and underserved communities.

Randy is a proud NorCal VBOC client. He recognized he could use support with his business and was able to connect with the Northern California Veteran Business Outreach Center (NorCal VBOC). The VBOC partnered Randy with industry experts like Business Consultants Tom Scheu and Pete Estrada. Thus far, he has received support in developing his business plan, capabilities statement, marketing assistance, and certifications and strategies for winning government contracts.

Veterans Construction and Design Inc. is a certified AI/AN (American Indian/Alaska Native), SDVOSB (Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business), SB/DVBE (Small Business/Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise), and MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) owned general engineering contractor and material supplier. With over 40 years of experience in site preparation, vertical construction, and commercial office work, the company assists clients in meeting project Set-Aside goal requirements while collaborating with A&E (Architecture & Engineering) construction specialists.

Through partnerships with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Randy and his team are helping to establish small, local health clinics across the nation. These facilities provide more accessible, non-emergency care for veterans and Native American populations—reducing strain on major VA hospitals and easing the travel burdens for those seeking timely, in-person health care.

He is also an active supporter of Operation Freedom Paws in Gilroy, an organization that pairs service dogs with veterans to promote healing and independence.

These are just some of the reasons why Randy was recognized as a Rising Star by the NorCal VBOC and the California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA). He continues to set an inspiring example of veteran entrepreneurship, combining professional excellence with heartfelt community impact.
